Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the United States as well as Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation at times. Since 2016, Collins has was a part of ESPN. She is the child of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. Since she was nine, Collins's ability to speak two languages has helped her get the job she wanted in Miami as a production assistant for Univision. In this role she was given the chance to collaborate with national program producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. After this, her CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. Then, in 2009 the reporter relocated from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs in both Texas and Mexico. The station also frequently asked her to serve as a sports and weather anchor. She was then anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her more responsibility. She wrote pieces on the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason games, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. She also hosted the local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. The show was commissioned as a anchor of the sports program for Despierta America Deportes for their morning program. She worked in the same role as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collins' parents are born in Veracruz Mexico. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November, 1985. She's older than her sister. In 1992, the family left Mexico for the US and settled in Miami. Soon after the family split up, and in the year 1995, Fabio Fajardo got married again. He passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. While on a trip with the family in Ohio, younger Collins took a place alongside her elder sister. Antonietta still a senior at high school but she knew exactly what career path she was looking for. When she was deciding whether Mount Union would be a good fit to her needs, Antonietta visited the campus. The campus was beautiful and provided the education she wanted. She graduated from school and was attended the university as an undergraduate major in media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her by his passion for journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
